Engagement with the MMC

The current Mayor of Bristol, Marvin Rees, is a founding member of the MMC and has served on the Leadership Board since 2018. Bristol signed the Marrakech Mayors Declaration, pledging to the Call to Local Action for Migrants and Refugees in 2020 and 2022, is a member in the C40-MMC Global Mayors Task Force on Climate and Migration, and represented the MMC in several diplomatic events, and participated in advocacy campaigns on Covid-19 and Afghan refugees.
