Dana Sleiman is the Director of Communications, Knowledge and Impact at the Mayors Migration Council (MMC), where she leads the organization’s efforts to translate MMC’s research, advocacy, and city-led solutions into narratives that reach and influence global audiences.

Dana brings 18 years of communications experience across humanitarian response, multilateral diplomacy, and the technology sector. Prior to MMC, she led communications at Amazon Ads across major industry moments and new market entries. Prior to that, she served as the UN Refugee Agency’s (UNHCR) spokesperson in Lebanon during the Syrian refugee crisis, where she built the organization’s communications function from the ground up and managed media relations through some of the most complex and high-stakes moments of the crisis. She also spearheaded UNHCR’s global communications and advocacy across major UN forums, shaping narratives on refugee protection with governments, donors, and civil society.

Dana holds a Master’s of International Human Rights Law from the University of Oxford and is fluent in Arabic, French, and English.
