Annemieke is currently finalizing her role as Executive Manager of the Dutch-based humanitarian coalition, Giro555, where she is responsible for the coordination of national fundraising campaigns that benefit people affected by crises. Annemieke will transition to Manager Sustainability and Corporate Communications with the Kandidatennetwerk, an organisation supporting young people into the job market, during the summer of 2025.

Previously, Annemieke has worked on systems change in the humanitarian sector, driving innovation and investment towards long-term impact for refugees and hosting communities in Eastern Africa, Southeast Asia and the Middle East. Her work on the Refugee Impact Bond with KOIS and the Near East Foundation, the ReBuild programme with the International Rescue Committee, cash-programming for refugees with GiveDirectly, and the evaluation fund set up with JPAL, are all contributing to evidence-based programming that enable people to rebuild their lives.
As a generalist and more introverted, Annemieke brings a skillset that enables her to be a calm, quiet driving force, ensuring no one is left behind and tasks are performed according to planning and schedules. She is quick at mastering new skills and builds bridges between colleagues and teams. Her personal interests are reading and walking.
